We are seeking a Health Communication Specialist to join our Client's team of qualified, diverse and highly motivated professionals.This position will be supporting the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Working as part of an integrated health communications team, you will:

Develop, implement, manage, and evaluate major, complex public health communication and marketing programs, campaigns, projects, and strategies for the lay and professional audiences, ensuring conformity with public health policy.

Ensure that all health communication activities conform with public health policy, are based on theory, and use accepted principles, methods, and practices.

Provide expert consultation and technical expertise in the creation of strategic and integrated plans and strategies for public health communication programs, controlled correspondence, and related activities.

Lead or conduct research and evaluation activities related to health communication, controlled correspondence, and public health policy.

Develop clear, concise and targeted health messages and communication materials.

Coordinate with others on health media production (e.G. Graphics, broadcast production), risk communication activities, marketing campaigns and activities, and publications for professional and public audiences.

Support risk communication and spokesperson training.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have four years of specialized experience demonstrating competency in the specific requirements for this position.

US Citizenship is required.

Public Trust - Background investigation.

Demonstrated experience in leading, developing and implementing public health communication and marketing programs, projects, and strategies for the general public and other audiences.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and research techniques and methods. Ability to apply market research to identify communication needs and target audiences.

Ability to initiate, establish, and foster communication and teamwork by maintaining a positive, cooperative, productive work atmosphere with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within a diverse population and with those from various cultural backgrounds.

Experience in presentation writing as well as writing, editing and producing newsletters, press releases, fliers, brochures, advertising copy, and other collateral materials.

Fluency in Spanish.

Bachelor s Degree in Health Policy, Public Health, Communications, or related field.
