To prepare accurate and profitable job estimates, converting estimates into successful bids (aka Sales) To facilitate all field change orders and materials, prepares contract documents, project estimates, supply lists and works closely with the production department along with the accounting department to ensure proper billing on projects. This is an AT WILL position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Uses industry software to estimate Domestic, Agricultural and Commercial water well projects
Estimates Sells Water Well projects
Bids projects ( prevailing wage) with enough detail to provide accurate budgets and purchase orders
Performs Sales and Marketing efforts to ensure adequate sales volumes are met.
Calls clients regularly to understand their future needs
Monitors job cost reports for assigned projects
Meets regularly with any assigned personnel to ensure proper information flow and adherence to stated goals
and objectives
Demonstrates good judgment in investigating problems and making decisions
Respects and maintains the confidentiality of company, client, and personnel information
Works with General Manager regarding bid document requirements
Time management and organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks
Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, or in person
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted through the course of work;
gain cooperation through discussion and persuasion
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; must be proficient in reading and writing the
English language
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING/EDUCATION GUIDELINES
Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
Five years of professional experience in Sales/construction industry in progressively challenging roles.
Experience in Water Wells, Pumping Systems, Motor Controls etc.
Training/Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Management, Project Management, or Construction Management from an accredited
college or university or 4 years similar experience within sales/general contracting
License and Special Requirements:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California state driver’s license and satisfactory
driving record
Computer literate with knowledge and experience in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
This position is full-time comes with 401k, Vacation, and Health Insurance after 90 days.
Pre-employment Drug testing will be required.
Pay Rate : DOE, 50k
