Humane Society is looking for a dedicated, compassionate and energetic Director of
Humane Enforcement to join our team!
This is a full time position offering a competitive salary based on experience, with

The Maui Humane Society is the only open admission shelter on the beautiful island of
Maui with a live release rate of 97.4% for dogs and 85.4% for cats. We accepted over
5,600 animals last year while helping even more with our intake diversion programs
such as: The Wings of Aloha transfer program (870 dogs animals flown to the Mainland
for guaranteed adoptions); Beach Buddies (public taking our dogs on outings for the
day); and 4EverPets (food bank, medical support and other services for public animals).
We have an active and energetic Foster Program (over 2,000 animals fostered last
year), a Volunteer Team that provides over 18,000 hours of service each year, and a
Community Cat and Return to Field program that all support our efforts.
Last year the Humane Enforcement Department responded to over 3,100 Calls for
Service, conducted more than 150 investigations, and 266 rescues. Among the duties
for this challenging position includes building a stronger Humane Enforcement team that
is responsive to community needs while developing and implementing programs for
more effective enforcement and educational opportunities.
