You will support the physicians and nursing staff inthe delivery of health care by performing a variety of medically related tasks.As a member of thepatient care team and the primary point of patient contact, the Patient ServiceRepresentative is responsible for positive patient relations, proper telephonecommunication, appointment scheduling, patient registration, as well as paymentand co-payment collection. This position also performs routine dutiesassociated with the collection and maintenance of current patient demographicsand insurance information.Job Duties andResponsibilities:

Greetspatients and assist with resolving patient issues or escalating patientsissues

Check-inand out patients and collect co-payments/give receipts/reconcile payments;verifies that patient demographic and insurance information is correct inCS-Link

Scheduleappointments, complete patient registration, collect patient payments andto provide a high level of patient service

Assistswith the management of physician schedules and identify opportunities forimprovement; handle patient/provider correspondence as instructed

Processand track referrals and authorizations for various insurance types

Monitorsand assess their own workflow to identify opportunities for improvementand assess their own workflow to identify opportunities for improvement

Participatesin daily huddles and staff meetings

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma and/or GED required

Experience

2 years of experience working as a Patient Service Representative in an outpatient medical office setting preferred

Demonstrates level of expertise in medical insurance, referral process and benefits plans

Prefer experience with CS-Link/Epic Healthcare
