Job Title: Architectural Staff Level II

Reports to Manager: Architect

Experience: 2-6 Years

I. Summary/Purpose of Position:

ASLII will assist a lead architect with a range of duties including design drawing production, product research, building documentation, sales, presentation, and administration. They will also assist in the streamlining of the architectural design process from conceptual design to overall completion of projects. The position requires excellent communication skills and ability take direction from multiple project professionals and facilitate workflow between different construction coordinators.

II. Essential Duties & Responsibilities of Position:

Develop architectural designs based on customer input and feedback

Meet with clients to determine objectives, budgets and requirements for structures, and present design proposals to clients

Carry out research on sites, zoning laws, entitlement requirements

Develop construction budget costs and times

Perform redline changes and revisions

Prepare contract documents for building contractors

Prepare planning applications and presentations

Communicate and coordinate with contractors and construction workers to implement designs and determine feasibility of project

Work with constraining factors such as town planning legislation, environmental impact and project budget

Play a part in project and team management

III. Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge Required:

Have or seeking a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in architecture or related field

Previous office experience is required
