Systems Engineer

Description Hybrid Structure: 2-3 days onsiteResponsibilities

Work collaboratively with others across several distributed office environments.

Ensure proper function and efficiency of all production infrastructure and their respective supporting applications to include deployments, configurations, operations management, security, monitoring and

alerting, as well as directly troubleshooting and resolving incidents as may be required.

Responsible for implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring, and reporting of the enterprise infrastructure but will support and maintain other key systems as required.

Play a large part in support escalations.

Ability to dig in and resolve complex issues

Ensure the success and continued operations of the production network and systems

Windows Domain Management

Virtualized Windows systems (On-Premises and Azure)

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair network problems according to Service Level Requirements

Monitor and report on the network infrastructure operations on a regular basis

VPN (Virtual Private Network) configuration and maintenance

Configuration necessary for integration of partner systems

Proactively address business process issues regarding networks through network architecture design, development, and implementation as well as business process re-engineering

Monitor and respond to systems outages as required by 24x7 operation – Will be part of an on-call rotation

IP address management, InternalExternal DNS management, public IP address space configuration

Troubleshoot requests regarding network connectivity and performance issues including working with vendors to isolate and resolve tier 2 issues

Maintain security and control of all respective networking systems; Review and patch systems as required

Complete status, systems utilization, and other required reports for management

Ensure successful backup and restoration capabilities for all network and related systems

Desktop deployment and configuration management

Requirements

Qualifications

Education: BA/BS degree in CS or Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience

Required Experience:

3-5 years

Skilled in:

VMware

Windows Server 2019

PowerShell

Experience with:

Managing enterprise class storage arrays.

Storage protocols - NFS, CiFS.

Azure

ITIL or similar release, incident and change processes

Meraki Switches and equipment

Administration of a multi-server environment with strict requirements on uptime

Windows desktop operating systems

Windows server operating systems

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Citrix Online - XenDesktop and XenApp

Oracle and/or SQL server experience

Component Control aviation software, Quantum Control (extremely nice to have)

SQL scripting

Microsoft BI
