As a key member of our Consumer Group, you will be responsible for designing and developing consumer devices with security features. You will work with product management on user requirement, apply your knowledge to functional design, utilize your design skills for efficient and manufacturable implementation, and interact with compliance and quality assurance throughout the entire development cycle.

Your Impact

  • High focus on overall design, manufacturability, serviceability and usability for Consumer PAN Products
  • Drive Electrical and ODM counterpart teams
  • Collaborate in a hardware organization with RF, compliance and product design engineers to meet critical space, thermal, cost, and usability requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and maintain productive relationships with engineering, compliance, product management, manufacturing engineering, materials and planning teams
  • Promote a healthy working environment with strong focus on individual career development.
  • Develop and maintain new design processes to ensure product design quality in fast pace working environment
  • Support both accessory and component commodity teams to ensure electrical engineering team early engagement

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in hardware development (networking products a plus)
  • Engineering management a plus
  • Experience working with component vendors and contract manufacturers
  • Experience with UL, EMC, EMI, FCC, CE and other compliance requirements
  • Experience with Qualcomm, Broadcom or similar SoC systems a plus
  • Experience with RF and antennas a plus
  • Experience in budgeting, resourcing and scheduling requirements for new programs
  • Excellent understanding of product design development and testing processes
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, Design for Cost for both low to high volume products
  • Experience in working with ODM or JDM with both domestic and/or offshore partners
  • BS/MS in EE (Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • Verbal and written communication skills to work with multi-functional groups
  • A teammate who brings a can-do attitude to a dynamic working environment
