Project Manager

Description There is a Project Manager position with a company in the Plano, Texas area for a role in the Manufacturing industry that needs to be promptly filled via Robert Half. Candidates will be accomplished in accounting functions and systems with a true capability for keeping financial projects on schedule and creating successful outcomes. The Project Manager will collude with a team of Business Analysts in order to complete detailed requirements documentation, a responsibility that may involve data mapping to accounting systems for proper accounting and reporting of transactions. You'll need to bring a knack for cross-functional collaboration, as this role will require you to incorporate input and feedback from the accounting leadership team and from key participants in other functional areas. Handles work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports, issue management and risk mitigation

Launches governance approaches for the projects to result in consistent and clear communication as well as issue resolution

Coordinates priorities of concurrent project and support assignments and meet stakeholder expectations

Provides an in-depth overview of business requirements so that business users understand them

Interacts with development team to describe business requirements and business process design

Establishes and handles project sponsor expectations, understanding business drivers and, when required, negotiates changes to project scope, timing, or resources to ensure that strategic solutions are delivered

Ensure executive management, team members, business and technology professionals get the information they need by communicating both orally and in writing

Having a Project Management and/or Business Systems Analyst Certification is a major plus for this role

Expertise in business and technical requirements analysis, documentation, modeling and testing methodologies & development

Comfortable working in a variety of project management software like Microsoft Project, SmartSheet or other similar applications

Possess qualifications to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance & Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
