Responsibilities

PCU focuses on the treatment of high acuity Adults through the geriatric life span patients who are stable but have complex needs and require more comprehensive care

Respiratory disease (ex. COPD, pneumonia, Intensive Care Step-down)

Medical Surgical Patients with declining medical conditions requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and / or acute respiratory monitoring including continued BiPap

Staffing needs vary and is reflective of projected patient census and acuity, staff level of experience, and skill mix. Daily staffing level and assignments are adjusted according to variances in patient volumes, acuity and special patient care needs.

Staffing :

Demonstrates competent professional practice and engages in opportunities for professional growth.

Demonstrates self-accountability to meet stated deadlines for all mandatory requirements.

Provides health care education and guidance to patient and their families.

Educates regarding results, findings and diagnoses to patient and the patient’s family within scope of practice.

Job Requirements :

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.

Minimum 6 months Previous RN experience required.

One year of related work experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or attainment within 6 months of hire.
