OVERVIEWThe Molina Center (TMC), a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, was conceived as a sustainability education center as well as a living community. Infrastructure and buildings for the first phase, The Molina Center for Sustainability, are completed and ready for use. Buildings include an Administration/Dining Center, a Lodge, and a Staff housing structure. Many ideas about potential seminars, retreats, workshops, and conferences have been considered and now an Events Manager (Manager) is needed to initiate event development and delivery. The Manager would reside and work on campus and initially be responsible for some grounds and facility maintenance. As time goes on and events generate income, staff will be added to share in organizational and maintenance tasks. The Manager would have the support of the TMC President, a local architect and funding member who is regularly on site and is liaison with the Board. This position would be ideal for a couple working as a team. The Manager will be considered a consultant and eventually become an employee as events and income are generated. Beginning compensation on a contract basis will be on-campus housing and a stipend on $1,000 per month during a three-month probationary period and $2,000 thereafter. As events occur and income is generated, Manager will receive a commission in addition to housing and stipend. A contract would be entered into which would include performance and deliverable achievement standards.JOB REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION. A college degree would be helpful but not necessary. Depending upon applicant's experience and demonstrable ability to carry out TMC's mission, a higher-education degree will be a great benefit but not particularly critical. On a related matter, familiarity with the book Oahspe will be a major plus.WORK SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS.
