It’s not often that a position opens up at Eichardt’s because we pride ourselves in the family style culture we have built over the past 26 years.

We are looking for a couple of line cook/prep cooks to help provide our SERIOUSLY GOOD FOOD in our OLD WORLD PUB environment.

POSITION SUMMARY: Produces plated food on the hot line as well as prepping for day to day business under the head chef’s instruction. Must be willing to work as a part of a team to assure a healthy working environment, and quality guest experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for quality and consistent food preparation and presentation. Work in close liaison with chef/supervisor. Duties include food handling, storage, rotation, processing and presentation. Preferred experience in sauté, broiler, grill, pantry and dishes. Preferred knowledge of restaurant kitchen equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Combined standing/walking position for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift and carry up to 25lbs frequently, up to 50lbs occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level on a frequent basis; will use hands to feel, control or feel objects, tools or controls. Repeat same movements. Walk up and down several flights of stairs several times throughout a shift carrying supplies. Worksite is 100% inside and may be exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards. All sensory skills needed. Work in sometimes hot environments.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Added tasks of chef/supervisor, kitchen staff and other Eichardt’s staff as needed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

SKILLS: Food preparation expertise.

EDUCATION: English reading, writing and communication, basic math

EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years preferred

LICENSE NEEDED: None

MACHINES/TOOLS OPERATED: Gas ovens, convection ovens, slicer, processors, fryers, dishwasher, basic kitchen tools-knives.
