DescriptionAn innovative company is looking to bring a Senior Financial Analyst onto their growing team. This opportunity would be a long-term temporary position. The Senior Financial Analyst consultant will serve as the primary point of contact for such financial issues as project spending, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting. You will need to follow public reporting requirements in order to perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments, as well as provide decision-making support for future company investments. This Senior Financial Analyst will be located in Fridley, Minnesota.Major responsibilities

Advance existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key issues, communicate integral updates to senior management

Influence the accuracy and discretion of tracked financial results with Operations and Accounting in order to drive improved management reporting

Develop repeatable business, operational and financial processes widely understood by all necessary teams

Evaluate financial results, summarize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly reporting to senior leadership

Identify and execute financial analysis to optimize business performance

Work closely with the Functional leads to provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance plus ensure alignment of operational initiatives

Execute assistance in all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

Build advantageous relationships with integral business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership

Requirements

High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Applicants are required to hold a Finance, Business, or related field BA/BS degree

Track-record in process reengineering and optimization

CPA or MBA preferred

Ability to apply critical thinking and critical decision making skills with management

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Command of financial analysis

Proficiency in Inventory Valuation

Comprehensive knowledge of inventory analysis

Foundational knowledge in forecasting & modeling

Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement

A thorough understanding of office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint

Skilled in working cross functionally across teams and gaining favor of key decision makers
