Please review the job details below.Maxar is seeking a Radar Engineer to join our Ypsilanti, MI staff. This is an opportunity to work on an integrated development team and develop innovative solutions that support our defense and intelligence communities. Candidates with experience in radar algorithms, radar system analysis, image formation processing, remote sensing, and/or software development for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) applications are encouraged to reply.What you will be doing:

  • Advance the development of algorithms and models for SAR image formation processing
  • Perform algorithm analysis and evaluate requirements
  • Analyze SAR waveforms and CONOPS with experienced staff
  • Synthetic data generation and testing
  • Support the analysis of algorithms used in advanced radar applications
  • Present technical findings
  • Work with and learn from community experts to realize new radar and image processing systems
Minimum requirements:
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math or a related technology field
  • Programming skills in C, C, Matlab, Python, or similar
Preferred skills:
  • Current/active TS/SCI
  • Experience in signal or SAR-image processing, operation processing, system development, integration, or optimization
Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is: $56,000.00 - $94,000.00 annually.Maxar employees must follow all applicable Maxar policies and COVID-19 requirements as well as those of Maxar customers and third parties.
