Position: General Manager

Our store in Ferndale, WA has an immediate opening for a dependable hands-on quick thinker that is able to work under stress and is able to adapt to frequent changes, delays or unexpected events that can change production and work schedules. The General Manager will lead the YVR Branch in the delivery of operational excellence, including outstanding commercial, crew engagement and customer service outcomes.

Requirements:

An experienced operational leader skilled at developing a strong customer, quality and output focused team

A demonstrated ability to develop and implement systems and procedures

Ability to recognize productivity opportunities within an operation and reassign staff/resources quickly and effectively

Excellent at managing low and high volumes of activity within a seasonal environment and the transition between them

Demonstrated ability to lead and adapt to high levels of change, proficient in change management

Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and plan effectively

Experience with planning, budgeting, KPI reporting

An effective communicator – internally, with external suppliers and with customers

Strong numeric and logistic ability

Demonstrated project management and strategic capabilities

Willing to be flexible with working days including weekends in line with business demands

Responsibilities:

Crew

Lead the Branch teams in the delivery of operational and customer service excellence

Actively lead and champion the support, coaching, and development of all crew

Ensure that the crew are fully, and appropriately trained and equipped to complete their assigned tasks with confidence and success

Set and maintains a high standard of performance

Lead the delivery of a high degree of crew engagement

Promote a customer service environment where staff strive to resolve customer complaints in a positive and effective manner

Maintain ownership of external relationships with suppliers – including but not limited to Airport shuttle services, property management, building maintenance/service companies

Technical

Lead the management of Health and Safety for the Branch to meet all legal and company requirements

Ensure all vehicles are prepared in a correct manner for customers in accordance with El Monte RV standards and safety requirements

Maintain an adequate knowledge of physical El Monte RV fleet vehicles to ensure the ability to be involved in fleet strategy, and planning discussions

Ensure that suitable planning and resourcing is in place to allow effective service delivery and revenue maximization across all parts of the business

Project leadership, or participation, as required

Ensure that all processes and procedures meet El Monte RV requirements

Lead the achievement of all required branch revenue and cost targets

Other

Ensure clear expectations are communicated effectively, and that accountability is maintained to ensure task/project completion on time, every time

Deliver Branch financial, service, engagement and productivity KPI’s

Provide accurate and timely reporting

Ensure all company documentation and processes are maintained and up to date i.e. employment agreements, performance reviews, financial records

Strive to reduce all waste within the branch

Embrace, and champion the principles of visual management within all branch departments to maximize staff engagement and achievement

Ensure branch property is maintained and presented in keeping with El Monte RV image and maintain building and plant security
