FT GENERAL LABOR at ANIMAL SANCTUARY (Marana, AZ)

FT Temporary help needed managing potbellied pigs at a premiere potbelly pig sanctuary in a remote area of Marana, AZ. We are looking for full-time employees to assist with integrating new pigs into established herds. This requires someone willing to work outside, in direct contact with animals, standing for long periods of time, as well as running and walking, when needed, to ensure their safety while being introduced into new fields.

Must be sharp minded, responsive, and very quick on your feet. No experience necessary, we will train.

Must be willing to approach and break up scuffles (with the proper equipment), be alert and quick to respond when unwanted behavior occurs, willing and able to determine the more dominant pigs and keep a watchful eye even when there are longer periods of low activity.

This is a temporary full time position, working 5 days a week, including weekends and holidays, with various shifts starting at 6AM and 8AM and lasting 8 hours. These shifts will likely include one weekend day and a possibility of working on the holidays. Positions will be starting immediately, please be prepared to begin work the following day after an offer is made. We expect this assignment to last approx. 3 - 4 months – If employment were to exceed 90 days, medical and dental options are available.

There is a possibility of longer temporary assignments and permanent employment, however, this will be determined on a case by case basis and not until the completion of the temporary position.

We are located in a remote area of Marana - transportation is required.
