Associate Project Manager

Description Do you consider yourself a project professional with a history of working within a team and as a manager? As the Project Manager, your understanding of accounting functions and systems will be extremely advantageous. You will be aiding Business Analysts creating requirements documentation and developing new methods of data mapping to accounting systems for the most efficient accounting and reporting of transactions. The Project Manager will additionally manage the accounting leadership team and other key participants in the accounting process, ensuring that their input and feedback is incorporated into key initiatives. If you have a demonstrated ability in keeping financial projects on schedule, this role might be for you! This short-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Windsor, Connecticut area.Major responsibilities

Begins and works on work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports, issue management and risk mitigation

In addition to meeting project sponsor expectations and understanding business drivers, you will negotiate changes, when required, to project scope, timing, or resources to make sure strategic solutions are delivered

Communicates with business users to define and analyze business requirements

Starts new and precise governance approaches for the projects to result in constant communication and issue resolution

Interacts with the development team to analyze business requirements as well as business process design

Coordinates priorities of concurrent project and support assignments, in addition to meeting stakeholder expectations Requirements - Ample experience working in the areas of business and technical requirements analysis, documentation, modeling and testing methodologies & development

Practical knowledge of Web App

Solid understanding of communication

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Quality experience with Onsite

Wide ranging experience with A Plus

General familiarity with internet

Proven knowledge of Microsoft Word

Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Outlook

Expertise in documentation

Research experience highly desired

Planning experience preferred

Good understanding of Radio Frequency

Earlier work involving Mail Merge

It's a bonus if you have a Project Management and/or Business Systems Analyst Certification

Ability to exercise independent judgement and act on it

Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, SmartSheet or other similar applications mandatory

The ideal candidate should be able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to executive management, team members, business and technology professionals

Proven success acting in a project management capacity

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance & Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Experience working with or in an accounting function with a key role in system projects preferred
