Software/Data Engineer

job summary:Our client, a major money transfer and financial institution, is seeking a high level ETL/Software/Data Engineer with 7-10 years of experience to support one of their projects as they continue to technologically evolve as an organization.

• Hybrid 7am MT 4pm MT
• 7-10 years of experience ETL -snowflake, SQL and Python scripting
• HTTP XML JSON, Node.js, Javascript highly preferred

• Create complex conceptual designs including engineering interfaces and interactions
• Research, evaluate and plan technical solutions to business problems, including software evaluations
• Oversee implementation and adoption of new technology acquisition, including performing some hands-on engineering implementation
• Design integration scenarios for end-to-end system integration of new and existing solutions
• Develop and maintain system architecture strategy and roadmaps, working with engineering partners and business stakeholders
• Contribute to creating a cohesive and reusable engineering architecture that optimizes for speed and value
• Be responsible for migration of assigned platforms and processes as per project timelines and ensure smooth knowledge transfer in partnership with on-shore and offshore stakeholders
• Experience developing a common architecture vision with IT and line of business leaders
• A strong voice for data and reporting quality and best practices
• Ability to conceptualize, analyze and explain complex and abstract problems
• Scala/Java expertise along with Perl or other scripting languages
• Ability to publish technical documentation and user guides
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple work requests
• strong analytical skills and judgment needed to clarify and breakdown problems
• strong SQL, data warehousing, and ETL experience on traditional databases is a must
• strong knowledge of technical frameworks, methodologies, industry standards and specifications required
• Familiarity with data warehousing , columnar and relational databases
• Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional impacts
