Please review the job details below.Maxar is seeking a Sr. Signal Processing Engineer to join our Sensor Programs team in Ypsilanti, Michigan. This is an opportunity to work on an integrated team to develop innovative algorithms and mathematical solutions to support users in the defense and intelligence communities. Candidates with expertise in signal processing algorithms, image formation processing, remote sensing, system analysis, and software development for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) applications are encouraged to apply. Strong communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and engineering teams are also desired.What will you be doing?

  • Provide signal processing leadership and expertise to research and development teams
  • Develop innovative algorithms and models for SAR image formation processing
  • Analyze effects of SAR waveforms, CONOPS, and system configurations, and provide recommendations for implementation
  • Perform system level analysis and evaluation with respect to requirements
  • Contribute to software for synthetic data generation and testing
  • Present technical briefings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Opportunities in other technical areas include detection algorithms, autofocus, ISAR, bistatics, deep learning and Automatic Target Recognition (ATR), electronic warfare (EW) and adaptive array processing

Minimum Requirements:
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain & maintain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math or related technology fields
  • 8 years of relevant experience
  • Strong programming skills (C, C, MATLAB, Python, or similar)
Preferred:
  • Current/active TS/SCI
  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math or related technology fields with 5 yrs of relevant experience
  • SAR image formation processing experience

Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is: $104,000.00 - $174,000.00 annually.Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.Maxar employees must follow all applicable Maxar policies and COVID-19 requirements as well as those of Maxar customers and third parties.
