Primary Purpose: The Lean Agile Transformation Lead will lead the overall strategy, planning, and execution of the agile transformation program to support ADUSA Product and Platform based IT Operating Model. As the head of Agile Center of Excellence, this role will interact and partner with senior leaders and utilize strong influencing, relationship, and leadership skills, coupled with thought leadership to drive strategic Agile Transformation in support of transformational goals and business metrics. This roll will ensure the organization is consistently applying the use of agile frameworks and methods to deliver and support continuous improvement. Additionally, this role will lead the development and improvement of a lean-agile mindset and practices to improve the understanding and adoption of lean-agile practices. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Define, develop and lead the execution of the Agile transformation program and champion the sustainability of best practices for Agile
  • Develop and maintain the Agile ways of working playbook for RBS that defines the standards and guidelines to be utilized across the organization, including the approach for team, program, and leadership coaching.
  • Lead a team of agile coaches (both internal and external) to embed Agile methodology and principles in the enterprise, reflected in mindset and culture changes
  • Develop strong, effective working relationships with Business Line and key stakeholders to effectively execute initiatives and embed Agile sustainability practices
  • Identify training and other change initiatives to prepare the overall Citizens organization for the adoption of an Agile methodology
  • Serve as Chapter lead for enterprise scrum master/chief scrum master role - responsible for recruiting, hiring, professional development and performance/talent management
  • Identify agile ways of working enablers and changes needed across support teams and control functions to support the efficient execution of Agile initiatives.
  • Define key metrics and develop an approach for capturing the benefits of the Agile approach
  • Lead and integrate the principles of agile ways of working throughout the organization by providing relevant coaching, training, guidance, and expectation setting to encourage and live the new behaviors.
  • Partner with senior leadership to: drive culture change, remove impediments, create environments for creative problem solving, consult on resourcing teams with the right roles and the right talent, and hold the teams and organization accountable for agile adoption and maturity.
  • Promotes a culture of innovation by implementing agile processes and principles which include techniques to increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and velocity.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Overall 12+ years of IT experience effectively leading large, complex programs with significant change impact, multiple dependencies within and across organizational boundaries
  • 4+ years related work experience playing an active leadership role in scaled agile transformations and/or and agile coaching experience
  • 6+ Years of experience working in an Agile organization
  • Demonstrated experience with agile methodologies and frameworks including Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Kanban and Scrum.
  • Experience influencing as agile thought leader to create and foster an adaptive environmental mindset across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or advanced degree in relevant business related field
  • SAFe program consultant (SPC) preferred.
