Financial Analyst

DescriptionWe are searching for a Financial Analyst for a well-known, large international organization in downtown Minneapolis. This is an exciting position that would be great for career-building, networking, and opportunity for growth. This role will be reporting to the controller and responsible for working extensively in Microsoft Excel to format data, working with other analyst to assist with forecasting, preparing financial reports, running regressions, and other ad hoc tasks as assigned. This is a long term temporary position that is open for a wide range of backgrounds.Financial Analyst responsibilities:-Understanding and explaining business demands and performance through large data sets in excel-Learning and applying econometric and statistical methods to forecasting using regressions-Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources in the best way possible-Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required-Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close processRequirementsRequirements:-Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Statistics or related field-Strong excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, macros)-Experience and knowledge of financial modeling with use of R, stata, or some other statistical software-Preparing financial statements using analysis and accounting principles-Strong attention to detail-Experience working with large data sets, cleaning, sifting through data.for consideration, please send resume and 2 references to Halle.Bowar@accountemps.comAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
