Under general supervision, the Materials, Planning & Logistics Manager (MP&L) will lead, supervise, and manage all team members of the Plant MP&L department, including Scheduling, Customer Service, Shipping and ERP. Responsible for KPI reporting, oversight and tracking of freight and inventory. Works with Plant leadership to develop core processes and procedures, as continuous improvement methods that algins with Groupe Plastivaloire North America strategy.

Works with and for Plant management to establish short- and long-term scheduling strategy for Plant operations.

Perform, analyze and report on capacity planning.

Establish appropriate WIP and FG inventory levels and monitor performance.

Review, analyze, and prepare for new program requirements.

Informs management of outsourced molding and inventory needs.

Manages customer release requirements and changes.

Review and report on daily and monthly on-time delivery and expedited freight.

Manages customer capacity / capability requests.

Works with Shipping team to understand, oversee, and review daily shipping requirements as needed.

Works with Plant Manager to manage warehouse/ Plant layout.

Manages physical inventory planning, counts and analysis

Monitor and review old / inactive inventory for disposition. Manage obsolescence of dead / dying programs.

Manage returnable dunnage purchases / inventory.

Leads and supports team members, including Shipping, Cart Loaders, Drivers in conjunction with C-TPAT requirements.

Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy.

Manage BOM updates and changes.

Review financial impact of BOM / Purchasing / inventory changes

Manages ERP software performance, updates and requirements.

Manages EDI setup and requirements.

Lead and manages the daily workflow for all team members, including performance management.

Establishes strategic planning and review with team members and Plant Management.

Establish Department goals and efforts toward continual improvement and cost reduction.

Performs all duties in accordance to the EMS ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 Environmental and Quality Procedures.

Maintains an appropriate level of conventionality and conformance in regard to the corporate culture. Relates well with others, including, as appropriate, peers, supervisor, subordinates, customers and suppliers while maintaining excellent attendance. Assumes appropriate role(s) when working in a team environment. Responds appropriately to unexpected and/or continuing situations, which develop in the work environment.

Other duties as assigned.

A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field of study required; Masters preferred A minimum of five years of direct related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two to three years of Supervisory experience required. Plastics injection molding experience for Tier 1 supplier required.
