and part time employees.Job Summary: The Angiography Specialist, under the supervision of
the Cath Lab Manager, Associate Manager co-ordinates the technical and
patient care component of Cardiac and Peripheral angiograms,
interventions, and other invasive procedures. He/she is responsible for
all aspects of patient care in accordance with hospital and department
policies and procedures.Minimum Requirements: Graduate from an approved school of Radiology
Science or Cardiovascular Technology. Registered by the ARRT or RCIS and
two years' Cath Lab experience preferred. As a condition of continued
employment staff members must maintain current status at all times and
not allows his/her certification/ licensure/ registry to expire or
he/she will no longer be compliant with the requirement of the job
description. The Cardiac Cath Angiography Specialist must be able to
demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care
appropriate to the age of the patients served on this unit. The
individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and
development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data
reflective of the patients' status and interpret the appropriate
information needed to identify each patient's requirements to his/her
age; specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the
departments policies and procedures.
