Private Caregiver Needed - Live in or Out (Verdi)

Seeking a full-time, live-in or live out private caregiver for my grandpa in Verdi. Seeking to hire two or more to provide services 24/7. Compensation will be based upon experience and references. If one is a live in they will have own bedroom and bathroom. Days off will be provided. While Grandpa can get around with walker and wheelchair, Grandpa needs assistance with getting out and out of bed and chair, going to the bathroom, showers, taking medicines, to medical appointments, cooking, light housekeeping, taking care of the two small dogs, etc.

Requirements:

Experience with elderly care giving

Must be able to pass a Federal and State background check

CPR/First Aid

Clean driving record

Clean TB test

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Duties:

Personal hygiene

Giving daily medications (pills only - no shots)

Dressing/Grooming

Daily walking and other physical therapy exercises (as prescribed by physical and/or occupational therapist)

Prepare meals and snacks.

Driving to doctor's, haircut, manicure/pedicure and other appointments (not more than once or twice per week)

Grocery shopping

Light errands

Companionship

Perform homemaking activities which include but are not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors; doing dishes; changing bed linens; doing laundry; cleaning bathrooms; assistance with feeding and cleaning up after animals; walking dog.
