Job DescriptionIn April 2020, our Company announced plans to consolidate our New Jersey campuses into a single New Jersey headquarters location in Rahway, NJ in 2023 and 2024. Therefore, this role will be temporarily based in Madison, NJ and exact timing of the departmental move to Rahway, NJ will be communicated at a future date.Our Team operates as a business partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities. Summary, Focus and PurposeThe Connected Devices Senior Specialist Team are part of the new Technology Support group that has been built to support our Identification and animal monitoring technology solutions. This specialist team are senior subject matter experts that are situated across all time zones in the “follow the sun” model.As Connected Devices experts the Team will have multiple responsibilities within the Technology support group and have skillsets linked to our Connected devices portfolio. This dynamic team will offer a range of support services to the local aftersales teams, by having a wealth of knowledge and a strong network of relationships throughout the organization.The principal tasks of this team will be completing Tier 4 in-depth troubleshooting, proactive monitoring, onsite advise with installation activities, advanced knowledge transfer, Hardware Product evolution and solving complex connected devices support issues that are triaged by the Technology Support Centre teams. Working operationally across the organization this role will need to define new support and escalation verticals within our ID portfolio. As part of the Connected Devices team you will be directly part of our proactive support strategy, by connecting to our Proactive support suite and working on different customer alerts and developing the proactive tooling for additional technologies.The role will require a working relationship with the different Product and R&D teams, to discuss the needs and development of service and support tools for the use of local and above market aftersales teams. A key success factor of this role will be your proactive relationship with different R&D teams by showing your extensive technical product knowledge and ability to work to strict deadlines and structures required with product software’s, the successful candidate should be a key participant in R&D design meetings by bringing forward high levels of customer focus and providing customer feedback from the local countries.As part of the Technology Support team this department will have an active role in the product life cycle of products, the team will use their expertise to advise in the development, Product readiness & the launching of new productsThe successful candidate should have high levels of drive & determination, a key asset to the role will be the ability to challenge teams due to being the focal point of support and being accountable to the regions and local teams.Key Functions

Interaction with colleagues and customers from diverse backgrounds; good communication skills and confidence in presenting information and technical data are essential

Customer interaction and local aftersales meetings, so candidate shall be business presentable and comfortable dealing with customers - either remotely or face to face

Work to tight deadlines and be flexible in approach to work

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Experience | Skills | KnowledgeRequired

Two plus years in a Tier 3 or above, Technical Support/QA/Dev related role at a global software company

Motivation for troubleshooting, ability to deliver efficient solutions and workarounds for uncommon issues

Strong analytical as well as fundamental working knowledge of the EID reading of animals

Practical problem solving skills on site, Knowledge and proven experience with our RFID, Milking, and automation portfolio

Installation skills in Monitoring, Milking, RFID and animal automation

General Software knowledge of Windows and Linux OS (debugging and internals)

General Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash / Python - Advantage

Customer-oriented with principled verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills

Technically adaptive, ability to learn new solutions, features/functionality, and communicate those in a value-added way to internal teams

Continuous learning mindset and detail-oriented approach

Ability to prioritize and switch between a variety of time-sensitive issues

Creativity and ability to think outside the box

Multi-tasking, self-learning, highly motivated and a team player

Installation skills in Monitoring, Milking, RFID and animal automation

Demonstrated effective analytical skills

Experience with Salesforce CRM - Advantage

Significant leadership experience within operational or client-facing environments

Comfort and experience to coordinate cross-functional work teams

Experience in managing and coaching of remote teams

Advanced written and verbal business language communication skills
