As the Sr. Manager, Technical Data Analyst, you will oversee the CDMS team of data management and agronomic science professionals that are responsible for the accuracy, integrity and applicability of CDMS’ crop input databases. You will manage data management and database practices across the entirety of the CDMS database.Competencies:

3+ years of experience in data management and people management required

Strong knowledge of best data management and database practices.

Working understanding of and the ability to apply concepts of:

The Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA).

Certain robust State laws, such as California, New York, Arizona and Washington. California county laws.

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) shipping regulations with respect to agricultural chemicals, adjuvants and branded fertilizers.

The federal Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) Title III regulations with respect to agricultural chemicals.

Basic understanding of agronomy, entomology, plant pathology, soil sciences

Possess people-management skills, including the ability to demonstrate leadership, inspire, motivate, problem-solve and promote a team culture.

Ability to represent the department in a professional manner consistent with corporate standards, and advocate for the needs of the department to function at optimum accuracy and operational efficiency.

Competent in communicating the value of the database both internally and externally.

Innovate without compromising existing data structures or quality.

High school diploma required, advanced degree preferred

Responsibilities:

Promote and execute corporate and division objectives.

Understand, analyze, and interpret agricultural chemical label information and architect entry to proprietary databases. Understand, analyze, and interpret other technical source materials (e.g. Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), guidebooks, regulatory documentation) and architect entry to proprietary databases.

Direct and communicate with data entry staff. Ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance of data.

Train, support, and manage department/team tasked with data entry and maintenance.

Create and enforce policies for effective data management to ensure data is accurate, complete, and useable. Devise and implement efficient procedures for data management and analysis with attention to all technical aspects.

Manage and maintain database standardization across all databases, including but not limited to applicable business rules, active ingredients, modes of action, CAS registry chemical information, federal EPA-compliant crops and crop groups, commercial agricultural pests and target organisms, CA restricted materials, Worker Protection Standards (WPS).

Establish and maintain productive working relationships with customers, industry colleagues and professionals, technical experts, and government regulatory personnel.

Develop and maintain working relationships with other departments across the organization to collaborate and improve on efficiencies and common objectives, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Subject Matter Expertise: Communicate effectively with and provide technical information to internal departments, customers, and superiors, as requested.
