LIGHT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC (1333 Maui Lani Parkway)

Work in Central Maui!

Job opening for the repair and maintenance of all machinery, equipment, vehicles, and tools used by the golf course maintenance department. Repairs and maintains golf cart fleet. Works independently and as assigned by the head mechanic.

DUTIES

1. Performs routine scheduled equipment servicing

2. Repairs broken and inoperable equipment

3. Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with equipment

4. Inspects and tests equipment

5. Performs body repair work, painting of equipment and arc and gas welding

6. Repairs equipment tires

7. Provides technical assistance for all staff on proper equipment maintenance

8. Responsible for keeping mechanic work area in a clean and safe condition on a daily basis

9. Reports equipment failures and/or problems to head mechanic or assistant superintendent by filling out the Equipment Report form.

10. Performs other related duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS

Performs work in the shop and out in the field in all types of weather and lighting conditions. Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Able to comply with company safety policies and procedures. One (1) year of directly related duties in a comparable position with a similar organization. Basic knowledge in the use of tools, methods and equipment to repair and maintain all equipment and vehicles used on a golf course. Must have a valid drivers license. Good physical and mental health condition, who with or without reasonable accommodation, can perform the essential functions of the job.
