Boise Group Homes is looking to hire a positive and energetic person who has experience working with Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities to manage one of their homes. The perfect candidate for this position will possess the skills and attitude that aligns with our excellent standard of care for the overall well-being of the individuals we serve.
This is a salaried position starting at $41,190 annually with a $600 gas credit each year.
RESPONSBILITIES include:
1. Provide assessments of individual client strengths and needs.
2. Assist with the development of client schedules.
3. Assist to arrange and conduct training meetings.
4. Assist with the implementation of the treatment plan.
5. Monitor the implementation of individual programs and progress and report to the QIDP.
6. Train and assist the staff with the implementation of individual programs.
7. Maintain client training records.
8. Assist with hiring, evaluation and scheduling of staff.
9. Daily supervision of staff.
10. Assist staff in the completion of the orientation and in-service training.
11. Complete in-service training assignments.
12. Maintain a safe, home like environment.
13. Be responsible for personal property, report maintenance problems and property damage.
14. Maintain the vehicles by enforcing safe driving and reporting any vehicle problems.
15. Anticipate problems and notify appropriate department.
16. Know Boise Group Homes policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. At least 2 years of experience working with Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
2. Management experience is not required but is a plus.
3. The ability to use therapeutic technology to change behavior and to demonstrate a functional relationship between changes and treatment.
4. Knowledge of normalization principles and the application.
5. Ability to communicate ideas both in writing and verbally.
6. Ability to cooperate and get along with staff and other co-workers.
