Senior Software QA Analyst

Job Description

· Participate in Verisk 3E solution testing to validate new features, new enhancements and required upgrades through:

o Participating in all Agile Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint planning, Daily standup, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective and Backlog grooming

o Validating requirements

o Writing Feature/Smoke/Regression/E2E/Exploratory/API test plans and test cases

o Setting up test environment

o Performing Feature/Smoke/Regression/E2E/Exploratory/API testing

o Capturing test results in Jira and Confluence

o Reporting issues in Jira defects (bug tracking)

o Performing defect fix validation

o Documenting all test work products in shared drive, Jira and Confluence

· Acquire and enhance testing knowledge of several Verisk 3E or similar applications such as 3E Compli, 3E Connect, 3E Protect, 3E Notify, 3E Explorer, 3E Generate, 3E Optimize, 3E Insight for Chemicals, 3E Insight for Food, 3E Monitor, 3EiQ and APIs such as ECHA.

· Perform smoke/regression/E2E testing of Verisk 3E applications being rolled into production on a weekly/monthly basis verifying that those applications are working as intended.

· Work closely with application developers, product owners, application users, product managers, stake holders and internal/external customers, to ensure the delivered application functionality meets all requirements with high quality.

· Must use one or more of the following available Desktop/Web/Mobile/API Test Automation solutions to automate existing smoke/regression/E2E/API test cases:

o Selenium Web Driver/Katalan Studio, Junit/NUnit/TestNG test framework, Eclipse/VS IDE, Git/Git Lab/Bitbucket and C#/Java programming.

o Test Complete, Git/Git Lab/Bitbucket and Python programming.

o Postman/Insomnia, Git/Git Lab/Bitbucket and C#/Java programming.

· Participate in three or more of the following activities:

o Train other members of the team

o Learn new testing tools/concepts/methodologies to improve test operation

o Improve quality through better ways of working and producing better test artifacts (Doing more with less)

o Create documented Smoke, Functional, Regression and E2E test cases for applications being tested.

o Helping application customers/users through addressing their production issues

Qualifications

• 4+ years of work experience testing enterprise/web/cloud/Mobile applications similar to or such as Verisk 3E solutions (3E Compli, 3E Connect, 3E Protect, 3E Notify, 3E Explorer, 3E Generate, 3E Optimize, 3E Insight for Chemicals, 3E Insight for Food, 3E Monitor and 3EiQ).

• 4+ years of work experience in software quality assurance (validation and verification) in the context of Agile Scrum SDLC methodology, functional and non-functional testing, acceptance testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, E2E testing, smoke testing and exploratory testing. Work experience in planning, developing and executing test plans and test cases and prioritized risk management testing. Work experience using test management tools, defect management tools and agile software management tools.

• 3-4+ years of work experience with one or more of the Desktop/Web/Mobile/API-based Test Automation solutions shown below (or similar) to automate, debug and run smoke/regression/E2E/functional test cases:

• Selenium Web Driver/Katalan Studio, Junit/NUnit/TestNG test framework, Eclipse/VS IDE, Git/Git Lab/Bitbucket and C#/Java Programming.

• TestComplete, Git/Git Lab/Bitbucket and Python programming

• Postman/Insomnia, Git/Git Lab/Bitbucket and C#/Java Programming

• Detail-oriented, determined to solve problems and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Adaptable, analytical, independent-minded and have good time management skill.

• Organized, customer oriented, dedicated and have good reporting skill.

Degree or certification in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
