Agile QA-Test Engineer - ORNL

Information International Associates (IIA) is in search of an Agile QA-Test Engineer for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). This role will be responsible helping to transform the end user experience at ORNL and this team will me working on improving Mobile Device management and processes.

U.S. Citizenship is required. Due to Department of Energy requirements, qualified applicants must be U.S. Citizens and must be eligible to obtain a DOE security clearance if necessary.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of Agile testing experience incorporating System Testing, Integration Testing, User Interface Testing, Regression and Acceptance Testing.
  • Thorough knowledge of structured test methods, procedures and processes in Automated Software Testing with awareness of Agile Software Development Lifecycle delivering SaaS and on-premises multi-platform client/server solutions.
  • Experience working in Scrum Kanban directly with development team.
  • Experience with test management tools and automation.
  • Ability to build and execute detailed test cases.
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in writing test cases, test scenarios, test data preparation, test execution, defect tracking and resolution.
  • Proficient in development and execution of test cases working in parallel with development and regression testing cycle.
  • Dynamic in working with all teams involving Developers, Product Managers, PM’s and business unit for deliveries on time with highest quality.
  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in End User Experience, Cyber Security, Data Security and Behavior Analytics testing
  • Versatile in testing applications in a fast-paced, Agile software development testing environment.
  • Responsible for reviewing all stories and acceptance criteria for QA risk implications.
  • Proficient in participating in use case user story discussions review to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Proficient in accurately estimating new feature items for both test case development and testing properly.
  • Proficient with multi-platform and cross-browser compatibility testing.
  • Proficient in Request Response validation of REST Web API s using Swagger Post Man Experience with database testing both relational and NoSQL.
  • Accountable for regression of product suite in maintaining quality.
  • Proficient in ensuring testing traceability to user stories and requirements associated with the project and product as well as developing a regression stack for future automation testing at every release
  • Proactive, analytical problem solver, capable of defect tracking through use of defect tracking tools like JIRA.
  • Critical thinker, passionate about Quality having experience working on multi-platform. Possesses organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, adapt to change and prioritize work.
  • Proficient in communicating testing updates through status reporting and daily stand-up. Clear communicator - both written and verbal.
  • Capable of assisting guide customer support and business users through UAT process as necessary.

Additional Information

U.S. Citizenship is required. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance from the Department of Energy.
