FREIGHT OPERATOR (Portland)

We are a dynamic and independent freight agent/NVOCC with branches in USA & UK and with an ever-growing global reach. The company coordinates ocean & air imports and exports to/from points worldwide.

We have available an entry level position and would like you to join and enhance our team. The role we are seeking to fill will allow for advancement and upward mobility.

Main purpose of the role:

Manage your own appointed customer shipments

To provide shipping, transport and forwarding expertise, build and develop relationships with customers in order to best serve their shipping needs.

To provide service information, take bookings, track shipments, problem solve

Offer the highest standard of customer service to customers, by providing accurate and appropriate information and demonstrating a professional, helpful and positive manner.

Further Role Details:

Receiving bookings and organizing required shipping moves

Accurate preparation and completion of bookings and documents

Liaising directly with the shipping lines, trucking companies, customs brokers, forwarders overseas offices, colleagues, and third-party agencies

Provide consistent reports to customers (bookings, tracking, notices, issues, schedules etc.)

Data entry into the in-house freight system

Raising sales invoices within the freight system.

Processing purchase invoices within the freight system

The position if FULL-TIME, Mon – Fri, with ability to work extra hours when required
