This is a medical/dental equipment supplier. They supply disinfectants such as wipes, hand sanitizer, surface disinfectants, and dental equipment. there largest clients on the dental side are Henry Schein and Patterson Dental. But, since COVID they have been much more focused on the medical disinfectant side of things. This is a Union facility. They are a medium-sized company with about 45 individuals on each of their 3 shifts. They are essential, so this is a stable company to be at during COVID.OVERVIEW: They are currently in need of packers on the line. They have 6 lines and the packers can be assigned to any part of the line.JOB DUTIES:Labeling the productsFilling the jugsChecking the products capsMaking boxesLoading machines on the lineSHIFT:1st M-F 6AM-2PM2nd M-F 2PM-10PM3rd M-F 10PM-6AMAVERAGE HOURS: 46WEEKENDS:They must be open to working 2 Saturdays per month. With the union that is the most they can mandate. It is usually the last 2 Saturdays of the month for month close. They are required to post mandated Saturdays by Thursday to inform everyone. Any other weekend days are voluntary.OT on WEEK DAYS:They will not be mandated to stay later than there shift. They will take volunteers if needed, and the other shift will also pick up where they left off.OT BONUS:Any OT worked is not just x1.5, but x1.5 $10 per hour.Example) They pay $13.32, so OT would normally be $19.98 at x1.5, but here it is $29.98 per hour.GROWTH:They are brought on direct at the same pay rate. They bring everyone in at the direct rate because of the Union. When they go direct they will receive benefits. This includes health, and 5% match to 401k. They also will receive vacation time.They receive pay raises of 3% at 12 months and again at 24 months (these are automatic). They then get a raise every year on Feb. 1st after that.Promotions- All positions must be posted internally first for 3 days. They are posted on a board (team lead, warehouse, hilo) they then just have to sign if they are interested. The person with the most seniority and qualifications will be rewarded the position.Promotions happen often. The packer role is a "feeder" role.
