Staff Research Associate (Part Time)

ResponsibilitiesProvide research support and assistance tothe behavioral neurology program at UCLA. Carry out day-to-day research anddata management activities for an NIH funded research projects as related toEarly-onset Alzheimer's disease. This study represents a total of approximately150 subjects.Part-time limited position, may convert to career.Qualifications

Demonstrated interest in dementia Ability to communicate effectively in spoken English Excellent customer service skills to interact courteously, tactfully, and with sensitivity to patients, research subjects, caregivers, and the general public Ability to initiate and complete assignments using critical thinking skills, sound and informed judgment, and with minimal supervision Ability to perform detail-oriented work with high degree of accuracy in environment with frequent interruptions and distractions Ability to provide own transportation to off-campus satellite sites Valid driver's license and current liability insurance Skill using laboratory centrifuge Knowledge of FDA regulations pertaining to research with human subjects at clinical sites Knowledge of universal precautions
