Department Summary: DISH is transforming the future of connectivity. We're doing it by building the country's first virtualized, standalone 5G wireless network from scratch. Job Duties and Responsibilities: This role will be working within the National Vendor Management Team compiling data, creating and running reports for various stakeholders, creating and enhancing processes, maintaining certain data inside of various programs that we use on a daily basis. Day-to-day job responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with stakeholders across the headquarters organization and within the markets to identify and source construction services and products needed to support the build with a focus on quality, schedule, and cost
  • Management oversight of strategic vendor partnerships that provide construction services, construction materials, and network equipment
  • Establish and maintain a vendor performance management system and communication plan for construction service providers and suppliers
  • Provide construction contract training and guidance to stakeholders and support market teams if/when construction contract disputes arise
  • Manage outward communication to vendors to ensure awareness and understanding of DISH construction standards at all times
  • Communicate status and issues at various levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner
  • Anticipate tactical challenges and develop contingency plans for controlling costs and maintaining market deployment schedules
  • Establish strong rapport with stakeholders across the headquarters organization and our field deployment teams to understand needs and provide support in a timely manner
  • Support the establishment of systems, process, and tools, inclusive of the creation of a national database to facilitate the vendor on-boarding processes, communication plans, performance management, and recurring vendor certifications
Skills, Experience and Requirements: A successful candidate will have great communication skills (written and verbal). They will be able to work independently to achieve the goals of the department and the company. This individual will need to be able to think critically and analytically and express those thoughts in the form of highly level decks as well as new ideas on how to improve the overall vendor management department. Specific qualifications: A successful Wireless Coordinator - Vendor Management will have the following:
  • BA/BS degree and two years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Technically proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience with budget management, scheduling, and reporting
  • Previous experience managing vendor relationships a plus
  • Previous experience with NexysOne and Avetta a plus
  • High Level Executive Decks using google or powerpoint
