Job DetailsThe Electrical Engineer is the leader of all Electrical Engineering and Design. Responsible for effective, high quality, and timely delivery of multiple high-end residential production and custom home projects from conception through to completion. This includes the complete leadership, management, and coordination of all internal and external design and engineering professionals to develop innovative designs, meet expectations and budgets, and produce high-quality design and construction deliverables in a fast-paced collaborative environment.Responsibilities:Leadership, coordination, and management of all related workflows associated with the delivery of high-quality design and construction deliverables for all Electrical Engineering projects. This includes setting and driving project schedules, and collaboration with resource teams; sales, architecture, interior design, construction, production, estimating, purchasing, accounting, project management, construction administration, human resources, building department, and DRB/HOA boards.
  • Strict adherence to project schedules.
  • Provide support related to AutoCAD/Revit drawing production and other document preparation for multiple projects.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all stakeholders throughout design and construction process.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
Responsible for:
  • The leadership of project teams.
  • New project feasibility studies and initial engineering analysis and guidance during design phases.
  • Electrical design, calculations, drawings, detailing, specifications, and any other requirements for permitting and construction.
  • Construction admin: RFI's, submittals, and field bulletin coordination and distribution. Work closely with the Construction Manager and engage in periodic field visits.
  • Setting and maintaining project schedules.
  • P&L, setting projections, hiring and training.
  • Technical production skills in schematic design, design development, construction documents, detailing, and 3D model coordination with architecture, engineering, interior, and production teams
  • Lead effort to Value Engineer when design and budget are misaligned.
  • Strong design, graphic, and verbal presentation skills.
  • Provide QAQC for all aspects during the design process.
  • Coordinate QAQC review with both internal and external design teams/departments.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High level of professionalism, effective communicator, and problem solver.
  • Minimum 5+ years of residential electrical engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Nevada Electrical P.E. required. Must be able to gain P.E. reciprocity in additional states as needed.
  • High-level construction knowledge to understand the construction process, terminology, codes, and ability to effectively communicate with Construction Managers.
  • Permit experience and knowledge of all applicable building codes.
  • Working-level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Working-level knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide leadership and direction, meet timelines and work on multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to complete tasks and projects on time with accuracy and detail.
  • Strong work ethic with a high level of integrity both in and out of work.
  • Understanding of construction costs and how to implement value engineering techniques.
  • Working side by side in a team environment.
  • Ability to self-manage project assignments from start to finish.
  • Ability to lead a team and delegate tasks.
  • Engage in office management responsibilities as needed in daily office activities.
  • CAD/Revit/SketchUp knowledge and practice as related to engineering drawings.
