An established New Haven restaurant is looking to hire:

1) Chef

2) One line cook or grill person

A) Chef - Job Responsibilities:

You will manage a business which requires supervision to ensure top-quality customer care in a fast-paced environment. Primary responsibilities include: overseeing an outstanding operation that assures 100% customer satisfaction of quality, service and cleanliness.

Effectively implement restaurant systems (i.e. training, scheduling, ordering, inventory, and scheduling, coaching, and overall operations).

To be successful in this role you will need to have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Chef in a fine dining restaurant and must have pride and passion towards every aspect of the business. Chef must have a broad knowledge of making various sauces, dressings, stocks and marinades.

B) LINE COOK OR GRILL PERSON - Job Responsibilities:

Grills raw and prepped foods to order and to requested temperature.

Cuts or portions meat, fish and poultry.

Minimizes waste of product.

Labels all food items for food safety and shelf-life standards.

Keeps the Grill Area neat, clean and sanitary.

Cleans, organizes, and maintains walk-in refrigerator, reach-in refrigerator, cooler drawers, prep, and dry storage area.

Stocks/restocks items on line according to specifications.

All other duties as assigned by the Chef
