Cook II - Food and Nutrition Services

Description :

Providence is calling a Cook II (0.875 FTE, Variable Shift) to work in Food and Nutrition Services at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

Produces, assembles, portions, serves and displays patient and cafeteria main entrees and accompaniment items. Maintains work area and equipment in order to meet sanitation and safety standards and levels for food and supply stock.

Responsible for ordering and receiving some Nutrition Services products.

In this position you will :

Prepares Food for patients, retail & catering : Follow standard recipes according to food safety standards (time, temperature), portion control and modify accordingly, assure highest quality of food presentation is achieved.

Complete inventory of supplies : Assure supplies are stocked daily; receive and sign for deliveries; rotate supply first in / first out basis.

Complete daily sanitation tasks : Assure food safety is followed through cleaning equipment and work area daily and as needed.

Qualifications :

Required qualifications for this position include :

HS Diploma / GED or equivalent education / experience.

Current Food Handling Permit

Progressive experience in institutional cooking
