The Data Governance Project Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders and internal/external project teams to manage implementation and expansion efforts of the Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting Division foundational data governance capabilities. This includes efforts related to metadata management, data quality, and data privacy. The Project Manager will also partner with Data Domain Stewards to ensure programs with focus on data are being rolled out and tracked as per the program charter established along with meeting core business objectives.Essential Duties and responsibilities

Manage, maintain, and monitor the data governance framework and coordinate the data governance steering committee, data councils and working groups.

Maintain and communicate data management policy, charter, and data standards.

Drive compliance with data policy and data standards and ensure data management practices comply with all regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable standards and regulations.

Provide detailed project management support to track activities, track backlogs, prioritize action plans, measure outcomes, track milestones, coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholder groups for data governance.

Accountable for ensuring that data-centric activities are aligned with the Data Governance program and leverage applicable data standards, governance processes, and overall best practices.

Facilitating a collaborative engagement helping to determine the structure and maturation for data governance from initialization to execution.

Tracking and measuring success of the overall Data Governance program

Collaboration with business, security, technical and quality teams to drive the data governance program.

Ensures alignment of the data governance programs and standards with applicable enterprise, business segment, and local data support models.

Management of programs and ongoing operational process improvements for intake of data, projects and apply data governance standards to such initiatives where required.

Advise on various projects and initiatives to ensure that any data related changes and dependencies are identified, communicated and managed to ensure adherence with the Enterprise Data Governance established standards.

Education:

College degree in computer science, business administration, finance, or relevant technical, data governance or regulatory compliance experience

5+ years of experience working in Project Management within a global organization.

Experience:

Experience with data governance and data management

Prior administrative experience as a scrum master, program manager, supervisor, manager, or project leader

Knowledge of Program roll outs for Data Governance platforms (such as Informatica, Collibra, Alation, etc.) a plus

Prior project management leadership and/or application of Agile methodologies

Demonstrated leadership in executing plans successfully to accomplish strategic goals and objectives.

Strong planning, communication, and presentation skills to include PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

Self-directed and self-driven with the ability to work at both a strategic and tactical level.

Demonstrated strong problem-solving capabilities.

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

Possess a balance of strategic visioning skills and the ability to deliver on tactical requirements.

Highly organized, with proven delivery of projects on schedule and on budget

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required.

Travel requirementsAbility to work with and strongly influence remote project teams is expected. Two or three days of domestic travel per month is normal. There could be international travel as required.Physical Demands
