Evaluate completed work against established engineering standards and quality criteria set by the Refinery organization. Ensure work performed by Sinclair Refinery Maintenance personnel and contract personnel is in compliance with all technical and quality control requirements.

  • Organize, plan, and coordinate the quality assurance and quality control program by Sinclair Wyoming Refining Company
  • Establish and manage all quality assurance and quality control functions in accordance with requirements
  • Review existing company quality procedures to further enhance the quality management system
  • Lead the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program by ensuring implementation of the company established procedures
  • Act as a central point of contact for Sinclair Maintenance personnel and third party quality personnel to provide coaching and assist with the resolution of quality issues
  • Review work packages submitted by third party contractors and suppliers for compliance with quality assurance and quality control standards
  • Coordinate quality control and quality assurance activities with Engineering, Inspections, and third party contractors and lead resolution to quality issues
  • Maintain a working knowledge of best practices and industry codes and standards (Examples – American Petroleum Institute, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Welding Society, etc.)
  • Coordinate all in-process inspections relative to quality as agreed to by Sinclair Inspections Department and Sinclair Maintenance Department
  • Follow-through on commitments made to others
  • Create and maintain a neat, clean and well-organized and professional-looking work area
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

High school diploma or general education development certificate (GED). 5 years of industry experience; preference given to candidates with experience in the oil & gas industry. Preference given to candidates with previous experience with equipment inspection, planning, quality assurance/quality control, or maintenance. Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is desirable, but not required.
