Join us in changing the way the world works.The LinkedIn Legal & Public Policy team is made up of legal and policy professionals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets who have set an extremely high bar for providing legal and policy solutions. If you like smart, witty and motivated people, you will fit in well with the Team.We are looking for a highly-motivated team player to provide legal support to LinkedIn’s Trust Product, Trust Engineering, and Trust & Safety teams, as well as other product and engineering teams, in our efforts to keep LinkedIn a safe, trusted and professional platform for all our members. You will partner with stakeholders across the company, including Trust & Safety, Content Policy, Public Policy, Corporate Communications, and Product, to provide guidance and drive smart, legally compliant, and “members first” solutions.Responsibilities :

Provide legal counsel on relevant product and feature developments, with a focus on member safety and content moderation.

Partner with and provide legal guidance to the Content Policy team on content policy development, implementation and escalations.

Partner with the global Public Policy team to prepare responses to regulatory inquiries and legislative proposals with regard to online content safety.

Stay current on legal developments and policy relating to social media platforms and ISPs.

Collaborate and build relationships with industry peers and nonprofits on digital safety issues.

Attend ongoing industry working groups and trainings on relevant subject areas.

Increase trust in the LinkedIn platform by assisting with internal and external data incidents.

Play an active role in fulfilling LinkedIn's mission of connecting the world's professionals to make them more productive and successful by being an integral member of our fast-paced, well-rounded, collaborative and FUN Legal & Public Policy team.

Basic Qualifications :

J.D. from an ABA accredited law school and admission to California Bar, or the ability to practice in-house in California

5+ years of relevant attorney work experience

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience working at a technology company, preferably Internet or social media companies, or working with those technology company clients, with expertise in one or more of media, communications, intellectual property and privacy laws

Familiarity with various Internet intermediary liability regimes, including Section 230 and DMCA

CIPP certification a plus

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; ability to understand business and technical requirements and “speak the language” of the various stakeholders

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently but also collaboratively with others as part of a diverse team

Exceptional attention to detail, commitment to delivering value

Compassion for others and a keen sense of humor
