Job Summary Applies a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach to analysis, definition, design and test of simulation and training systems. Uses independent judgment to make decisions in day-to-day job responsibilities the majority of the time under some general supervision, able to work moderately complex tasks on their own. Job Responsibilities

Apply knowledge: product domain, requirements, design, development, test, processes, tools, methods and best practices with primary emphasis on system design and development.

Demonstrate an understanding of how to incorporate the appropriate Collins Aerospace processes and tools into product development, resulting in increased product quality and improving customer satisfaction.

Design, integrate, test and document system in areas such as: architecture, requirements, interfaces, components, and acceptance tests.

Perform system debugging using appropriate techniques and tools.

Performs in cross-functional team efforts in integration, verification and validation for products and sub-systems.

Provides engineering estimates for own work on tasks similar to those previously performed.

Individual job duties may vary.

Basic Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Strong requirements development and decomposition skills.

Strong verification and validation skills.

Software Test Engineering skills for execution and development of test cases.

Software skills are a plus

Cloud experience a plus

Good communication skills are essential, verbal and written

Must be able to work in a team environment
