About This Role At Biogen, we are pioneers in neuroscience. We care deeply about making a difference. We work fearlessly. We do not give up when challenged, pursuing innovation in all that we do. Founded by scientists, we are a science-driven company committed to original research that uncovers the underlying biology of complex diseases. We are humbled by the opportunity to change lives. An opportunity exists within the department of Multiple Sclerosis - Specialized Immunology (MSI) for a Research Scientist with a strong background in adaptive immunobiology. You will be an integral part of a creative powerhouse pushing the boundaries of innovation by discovering pathways related to emerging disease mechanisms in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) that are rooted in human biology. You will challenge the status quo for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and may provide alternative ideas for ways how to stop disability progression in MS. You may detect opportunities to develop medicine with a tangible benefit for MS patients. We expect you to synthesis therapeutic hypotheses, nominate druggable targets and build focused partnerships to deliver to the MSI portfolio.  What You’ll Do Lead drug discovery programs at early discovery stages and translate them into clinicCollaborate extensively with multidisciplinary scientists to advance MSI portfolio projectsCapture and catalyze emerging scientific breakthroughs into new discovery programs in MSConduct research focused on the pathogenic role of T cells in neuroinflammationDesign and execute experiments to investigate and treat disease-causing mechanisms in MSWho You Are You are a recognized scientist with a track record of accomplishments and innovation. You are forward-thinking and not afraid to disrupt the therapeutic paradigm of preventing and curing autoimmune diseases.
