    The primary purpose of this position is to provide essential equipment and materials for the overall accomplishment of Operational Ground Equipment (OGE) and Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE) Periodic Depot Maintenance (PDM) tasks to ensure the viability of Minuteman and Peacekeeper Nuclear Weapons Systems through the year 2030.

    Responsibilities

    • Develops and implements required planning and acquisition procedures in advance of each periodic maintenance phase and upgrade phase
    • Consults directly with the Organizations Civil Engineers to obtain required technical data, as built drawings, historical data from work on sites, and materials specifications needed to implement production control planning
    • Operates computers to access a variety of automated supply systems
    • Develops and writes specification for contract requirements in support if the Rivet Mile Maintenance
    • Manage hazardous materials Satellite Accumulation Point (SAP) IAW base regulations and applicable laws
    • Develops Rivet MILE annual budget forecast and financial plans for maintenance materials and supply

    In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions,SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes assisting in maintaining complete inventory of parts and materials to ensure Depot task completion of all Rivet MILE Phase tasks. Knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied inventory management principles, concepts and methodologies to perform recurring kinds of assignments, operations and/or procedures; knowledge of inventory/supply systems; knowledgeable about acquisition processes, automated records and control systems, material substitution criteria, and storage, issue and disposal processes; knowledge of budgeting, procurement, and funding processes related to inventory management problems and issues. Knowledge of the occupation to perform studies and prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence to communicate factual and procedural information clearly.OR

    LL.B. or J.D., if relatedFEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

    • Thorough knowledge of mission assignment, workload schedules, organizational structure, operational procedures, and channel of communication pertaining to the assigned workload in order to provide timely material support.
    • Detailed knowledge of flow of material and supply procedures in order to resolve material problems.
    • Knowledge of directives of each workload, end item configuration and sequence of areas worked in order to provide material support or devise alternative plans of action to prevent schedule slippage.
    • Knowledge of regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to material control and scheduling functions.
    • Knowledge of regulations, instructions and laws pertaining to Hazardous Waste Accumulation Point management.
    • Ability to interpret mechanized computer products (material related) and initiate corrective actions to eliminate problem areas.
    PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
