Job Description:The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 5 - 10 years of development experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of technical leadership experience at a senior level.
  • Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or related fields)
  • Excellent understanding of REST concepts and developing REST API's using Spring boot with Tomcat
  • Object-oriented analysis and design experience
  • Excellent understanding of Java 8 capabilities, lambda, streams and functional interfaces
  • Excellent understanding and working experience using spring modules, including IOC, MVC(Rest), BATCH, spring boot along with other core components like oauth2 and security
  • Experience in developing cloud native applications (AZURE is preferred)
  • You thrive in a team-oriented environment and taking on new challenges

  • Leading the team in technical guidance and mentoring junior team members.

  • Providing and taking leadership for converting business requirements into detailed designs by considering the best strategy to ensure that the design meets performance, security, usability, and reliability and scalability requirements.
  • Providing mentoring to the HCG team of developers and tech leads with specific emphasis on sound fundamental development methodology.
  • Providing leadership on project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies.
  • Participating in the HCG team's effort to improve the productivity and quality of the entire development process.
The TeamFidelity Investments is seeking a principal software engineer and technology lead for an opportunity within its Health Care Group business unit. This role is specifically within its Health and Benefit Account platform technology chapter. We are spinning up a new team to support the mid-tier business logic that supports our Retiree Medical Account product offering and are looking for a seasoned Java developer who has experience in building and deploying applications served on the cloud. Experience building applications on Azure platform will be a plus.
