Job Description

The Associate Business Analyst is responsible for application support while managing stakeholders across various business process units to ensure timely deliverability of applicable and reliable IT services and solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with designated business process area stakeholders and other business units/users to understand applicable business process requirements to support with appropriate IT services and solutions.
  • Facilitate the definition and documentation of business processes (i.e. business process engineering or re-engineering), issues, complaints, business requirements, and enhancement requests related to IT systems and/or applications.
  • A Subject Matter Expert (SME) of assigned business process areas to assist in the troubleshooting of reported errors and/or problems and coordinate timely resolution through other IT departments (i.e. Systems Engineering, Development, etc.).
  • May oversee small projects and/or cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Ensures effective and timely communication to business constituents on all issues - project status, reported system/application problems/resolution, etc.
  • Complies with all processes, adopted methodologies, standards, and deliverables associated with all elements of the SDLC.
  • Works closely with IT management to ensure that issues or enhancements are being addressed in future software enhancement releases.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements to perform job duties:

  • Ability to deal well with the stresses and pressure associated with tight project timelines.
  • Willing to accommodate extended work hours to meet project timelines as occasion may require.
  • Can expect, on occasion, to work with international market personnel in their respective time zone.
  • Stand/remain upright, walk/move throughout the building.
  • Stand/remain standing for several hours, up to 2 hours at a time.
  • Sit/remain seated at a computer for up to 8 hours a day, usually 4 hours at a time.
  • Use a PC with dual monitors, keyboard and mouse and telephone, continuously throughout the day.
  • Bend up and down, kneel, stoop and/or squat occasionally.
  • Turn and twist repetitively.
  • Reach down, forward and overhead.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer sciences or business or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 3-4 years of industry-specific, professional work experience.
  • Customer facing experience in an IT environment preferred.
  • 2+ years MLM experience preferred.
