Job Description

Title: Enterprise Storage Engineer /ArchitectLocation:Atlanta, GADuration:12+ months contract (with extensions every 12 months Long term)Interview : 1 or 2 rounds of Face to Face /In person interviews only

SCOPE OF WORKWe are seeking an Enterprise Systems Engineer / Architect to help the execution of various projects for a long term (multi-year initiative) contract opportunity in Atlanta, GA.

The Enterprise Storage Architect will work with Project Managers on the configuration and deployment of servers and security groups to meet the needs of each project on behalf of the Authority. The Engineer will also work Business Units and Stakeholders (internal/external) to implement, configure, deploy, and optimize the central monitoring nucleus of the technology infrastructure for business sustainment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Excellent troubleshooting experience.
  • Prior experience with NetApp, Hitachi, IBM, or EMC is preferred.
  • Prior work experience in an enterprise level leveraging both on premise and cloud storage solutions is desired.
  • BA or BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP5 or VCP6) certification.
  • Experience as a Windows/Linux System Administrator supporting a large Enterprise system with knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 2008/2012/2016, Linux/UNIX Operating Systems.
  • Administration experience in a VMware or Microsoft or on an Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS). Scripting experience w/ Microsoft PowerShell and vSphere PowerCLI.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with engineering and administration in storage environments.
  • Needs strong relevant experience designing, configuring and implementing hybrid large enterprise scaled environments.
  • Hybrid solutions to include any combination or two or more of the following environments on-premise, data center collocations, cloud hosted solutions (AWS or Azure).
  • Candidate must have a strong analytical background with accompanying troubleshooting skills as well as effective communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge in storage technologies.
  • Hands-on skill in storage design, installation, and configuration for large-scale cloud environments.
  • Experience with best practices associated with migrating and configuring storage across geographically distributed cloud-based architecture.

Preferred but Not Required

  • Deep knowledge of security standards such as FedRAMP, FISMA and SRG.
  • Data Center Virtualization (DCV) Track and certified Design Expert Certification completed for that respective certification track. Network Virtualization Track and certified Design Expert Certification completed for that respective certification track.
  • Technology would prefer candidates that have one or more of the following certifications, however, it is not required, Cisco Certified Network Professional Data Center, SNIA Certified Storage Networking Expert, NetApp Certified Data Administrator, Brocade Certified Network Engineer, EMC Storage Administrator Track, HP Master ASE: Storage Solutions Architect V1, or Hitachi Data Systems Qualified Professional Storage Administration.
