API Automation Tester

- Develop detailed test plans, scripts and cases based upon requirements and workflows.
- Conduct automated, manual test of products, enhancements, or releases as per plans.
- Report defects participate in defect resolution and compile test results for reporting.
- Attend and participate in meetings to review test plans and test cases to ensure accuracy and completion of documentation.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Liaise with customer/ project teams to identify system requirements.
- Expertise in automation and manual testing (functional / system integration testing).
- 5+ Yrs. of experience in API automation with any automation tool
- Experience in SOAP UI / Postman tool.
- Sound Knowledge on HTTP Protocols and Methods.
- Experience in building an Automation Framework.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr.
- Expected to be a pivotal member of Agile development team working closely with developers to drive automation strategy.
- Strong Knowledge and experience on all phases of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and QALC (Quality Assurance Life Cycle).
- Knowledge on AWS and DevOps tools (Azure, Jenkins etc.)
- Ability to coordinate and work with globally distributed teams.
- Be individual contributors capable of taking up tasks from start to end with minimal assistance.
- Be able to understand the software internals, debug issues, and write automated tests with scripting and automation tools.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must have the ability and desire to quickly learn new skills and technologies.
- Demonstrable ability to create, execute and manage scripts from scratch.
- Track and communicate test results in a timely, effective, and automated manner.
- Excellent team player, self-driven and proactive.
- Knowledge of performance Testing is a plus.
