A.L. Boeck & Co. is seeking Field Service Heavy Equipment Mechanic(s), and a Shop Engine/Transmission Rebuild Technician to join our growing company! Position requires applicants to repair a variety of complex equipment, tools, and vehicles involving mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and electrical systems. Service is primarily performed at customer locations. Mandatory Requirements:
- Ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems and successfully repair the equipment.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices
- Requires the ability to lift, push or pull and move up to 70 pounds and must be capable of climbing, kneeling, twisting and bending in a varied environment
- Must be dependable and report to work on time; personal phone calls in emergency only!
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and yard personnel
- Must exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety
- Good written and verbal (english!) communication skills
- Must maintain satisfactory driving record at all times!
- A valid driver's license
- 5+ years of experience as a heavy equipment/diesel mechanic, preferably in the field
- Provide own tools and possess ability to safely and effectively use them
- Must be able to perform basic computer operations
- Must understand and speak fluent English!
