The Opportunity:The Oracle Product Engineer is a position within the Supply Chain Operations organization and is an important part of hardware manufacturing. Product Engineers (PEs) require a mix of hardware, software, OS and networking skills coupled with excellent technical management skills. The PE will lead the technical activities during New Product Introduction of Oracle cloud hardware products from prototype builds through end of life. This position is a challenging and rewarding opportunity with an exciting blend of both hands-on technical work coupled with elements of technical program management.We are seeking highly-talented systems integration professional who can strengthen our capabilities and help enable the transition of technology from a development environment to production ensuring Design for Manufacturability (DFx). The Product Engineer is responsible for engaging with the development team and transforming general specifications into specific actions that support the development of Proof of Concept systems; the development of manufacturing infrastructure (e.g. test specifications); First Article Inspections of pilot units; and the technical lifecycle management of the rack level solutions.You will be the voice of supply chain from a software and hardware engineering perspective working with development teams and your engineering peers in manufacturing. You will be a thought leader in finding the most expedient and innovative ways to help the team transition towards a fully automated manufacturing process to deliver product at scale. You will stay abreast of developments in the cloud industry including emerging compute, storage, network, and GPU technologies and find ways of applying these to keep the environment modern and current.What You’ll Do:Understand and bridge the requirements and capabilities for manufacturing (including external manufacturing) to the design of a new product

Define automated test requirements based on product design and anticipated test failure modes

Manage product and process quality (reviewing failures, driving continuous improvement in automated test)

Determine operations qualification requirements (what do we need to do to validate a product change before it implements?)
