Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Experience with government regulations and environments is a plus. US citizen is required; may need to submit for security clearance.As the Senior Principal Cloud Architect, your role will be designing and implementing services to assist the global pandemic efforts. These services will process highly confidential medical data across multiple geographic boundaries both inside and outside the US. You will also be responsible for organization leadership and mentoring of a cross-functional team of engineers including SDEs, SREs, and DBAs.ResponsibilitiesA Senior Principal Cloud Architect leads the application architecture and development efforts for enterprise level applications. Develops technical strategy for a particular application or suite of applications. Ensures system integrity and a stable system with proper controls and systems including up to date document applications architecture and development expert. Leads the team from a technical perspective in the areas of application architecture, systems analysis and design, data modelling, operational resiliency, and software programming. Creates technical specifications and high-level system architecture diagrams. Develops prototypes. Ensures that technical specifications are kept current during the development process. Ensures that the estimates in the technical specification are accurate. Defines the high-level software development practices and policies.This position is responsible for the end to end product architecture. Thisinvolves contributing to and leading multidisciplinary projects focused on architecting, re-developing, migrating, improving, designing, and prototyping complex cross-product solutions involving Oracle s Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a service (IaaS). The position entails a high level of internal visibility with senior leadership. The Senior Principal Cloud Architect is responsible for structuring and leading complex, strategic internal and external engagements involving coordination across teams and products, innovative use of Oracle s Cloud Development products and tools and establishing a regular feedback channel into the Development organization resulting in product improvements and innovations.As a Senior Principal Cloud Architect, this role serves as a technical leader within the organization. This involves contributing to organization technical strategy and roadmap. This position will be involved in guiding organization growth through developing, hiring, and mentoring new roles within the organization. This position will be responsible for contributing to essential best practice documentation and technical standards across the organization.QualificationsMinimum of 10 or more years of broad technical exposure.

Experience working with Agile development frameworks.

Exceptional analytical and critical reasoning skills capable of flexible and lateral thinking.

Ability to strongly lead technical discussions with Oracle teams.

A master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or a bachelor s degree and comparable experience in software development, information technology, and/or data architecture.

Must HavesAbility to produce results quickly with little direction

Experience with RESTful services and other integration technologies

Experience with common data formats, including but not limited to JSON, XML, Parquet & CSV

Strong understanding of cloud architecture and on-premises / legacy designs. Strong technical skills and a system wide vision including all aspects of the cloud ecosystem.

Highly developed interpersonal, verbal communication and presentation skills; demonstrated comfort level for presentations to senior leadership level meetings.

Experience with Oracle RDMS

Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Experience with Oracle Golden Gate

Experience with CI/CD pipelines including VCS (git, svn, etc)

Nice to HavesExperience with container administration and development utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, Mesos, or similar. Oracle Kubernetes Engine preferred.

Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud

Experience with presentations to large audiences

Experience with Big Data Technologies (including Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL, Object Storage, or similar)

Understanding of Open source and non-Oracle products and solutions.
