Line Cook Position, Bluebird BBQ

Bluebird Barbecue in Burlington, VT is looking for experienced line cooks to join our team. Bluebird Barbecue is an employee-focused company, offering competitive wages, opportunities for professional development, and a collaborative, team-focused work environment.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the Bluebird Barbecue Culinary Team, the Line Cook prepares menu items from start to finish including but not limited to preparation of ingredients, cooking, and plating menu items. This position is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness/sanitation of work areas and following all storage and organization procedures.

Qualifications:

- Education: High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience.

- Work Experience: Preferred 1-2 years experience in the culinary field and/or previous related work experience and demonstration of a keen interest in learning culinary skills and techniques.

- Language Skills: Ability to speak/understand and read English.

- Technical Skills: Ability to read and follow recipes, production guidelines, and health and safety standards. Ability to understand and follow basic math formulas.
